Problem Note 40714: SQL procedure queries might take longer to run in SAS® 9.2 TS2M2 and TS2M3

PROC SQL queries in the second (TS2M2) and third (TS2M3) maintenance releases for SAS 9.2 might take longer to run than in previous releases if the following are true:
- The query involves the joins of multiple DBMS tables that are using the same libref with a SAS data set.
- The query includes a CASE expression that contains a subquery.
SAS might break apart the query rather than passing the join of the DBMS tables to the database and then joining that result set with the SAS data set.
There is no current workaround other than breaking the query into multiple steps.
